I've been hating on my X100 recently (well, this morning anyway, and the other night at Paramount - focus issues mainly), but then this isn't a bad little number for it to come up with now is it? Besides, this morning's angst was probably caused by the fact that I was shooting in my dressing gown when I should have been on my way to the station - less haste, more speed, remember?!
I don't know - not very inviting as a poster in some ways, yet looked at long enough, doesn't he seem to you to be smiling? A design for a poster for a possible Brighton based event - watch this space.
This is the greatest novel I have ever read BUT - a couple of caveats:
1. I read it about 9 years ago - I might not get very much from it if I read it again today.
2. It played a part in stopping me reading fiction for the best part of the last 9 years - everything else seemed insipid and unimportant next to it.
3. Everyone I recommended it to without exception hated it.
4. Just because I think it is great doesn't mean I have sympathy for, or even like, the characters.
Proceed with caution.
