I've been hating on my X100 recently (well, this morning anyway, and the other night at Paramount - focus issues mainly), but then this isn't a bad little number for it to come up with now is it? Besides, this morning's angst was probably caused by the fact that I was shooting in my dressing gown when I should have been on my way to the station - less haste, more speed, remember?!

The Booth Museum, Brighton: Working up a Pitch

I don't know - not very inviting as a poster in some ways, yet looked at long enough, doesn't he seem to you to be smiling? A design for a poster for a possible Brighton based event - watch this space.

Here's another version of that Violinist

Not sure why it is smaller than other pics - X100 maybe?

No Breaks for Mrs Lemon's

I do apologise for the continuing absence of paragraph breaks on these pages - problem has been reported.

Covers for Books that have Influenced Me No. 2

This is the greatest novel I have ever read BUT - a couple of caveats: 1. I read it about 9 years ago - I might not get very much from it if I read it again today. 2. It played a part in stopping me reading fiction for the best part of the last 9 years - everything else seemed insipid and unimportant next to it. 3. Everyone I recommended it to without exception hated it. 4. Just because I think it is great doesn't mean I have sympathy for, or even like, the characters. Proceed with caution.

Nice clothes and music here, though "shower curtain" rose unbidden into my mind at one point. Also, please, people, EAT something.

Welcome to Mrs Lemon's: Sic transit gloria mundi.

See more at http://patrickdoddsphotography.co.uk .

Something of an online zibaldone, albeit not on Tumblr where one might otherwise expect to find such things, "Mrs Lemon's Visit to Japan" takes its name from a poster seen in Cornwall advertising a talk at the local Women's Institute. I hope there is something here you like.

NB If you go back in time far enough on here some of the photos start to disappear - not sure why. Whatever is happening with the missing pictures, apologies.
